Choices

Aah... the weekend. Isn't it great? Especially with the sunny weather we've had the last few days. Still baffles me that the Belgian weather goes from being bloody cold to sunny and spring temperatures overnight. Not to mention how much more cheerful and relaxed everyone is. Yep moving to the Caribbean would definitely work out for me.

Anyway if you read me previous post you might have noticed that later became quite a few days later. C'est la vie. I'll briefly outline what changes I see happening.

First of all if I'm going to be using autoethnography the focus will shift from the 'others' to 'me'. How I experienced my trip down the blogosphere, evaluate what support I received, in what shape this support presented itself and how it affected me and perhaps my thesis. The others will take a secondary position, a framework of sorts.

I currently find myself between two choices: ethnography or autoethnography, if I'd use the former the focus will stay with the 'others' if I choose for the last the focus will swing towards me. I have to admit I'm leaning towards the last choice and I'm sure my love for reading and writing prose is a great influence.

The lovely Andrea has provided me with a set of links to papers on representation, what would I do without her help? :)
